Quyen Johnson has been living and working in North Texas for more than 20 years after being adopted at a young age. She attended Era High School and later North Central Texas College for her registered nurse training. Quyen obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington. Then she received a Master's Degree with Honors as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas Woman's University. Quyen is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and currently practices as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensed in Texas.
Throughout her years as a registered nurse, starting in 2008, Quyen worked in cardiac/telemetry and the Emergency Department at Texoma Medical Center.
After becoming a nurse practitioner in 2013, Quyen worked in neurology, treating patients with complex neurological disorders in collaboration with neuro hospitalists at Texoma Medical Center. Since 2015, Quyen has worked in urgent care and primary care in Sherman and Denison. Throughout her time as a nurse practitioner, Quyen enjoyed a sense of fulfillment in making a difference in the lives of those she serves. Her driving force is the satisfaction of watching her patients succeed and thrive. Quyen takes great pride in personalized care and is currently welcoming new patients.
When not working in the clinic, Quyen enjoys caring for her dogs and horses on the family's farm. In addition, she loves all things to do with nature and never misses a chance to explore the world.
